MANAGING DIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION

George Ashdown brings over 15 years of expertise in the construction industry to his role as Managing Director of Construction at ELK Development. With a background spanning architecture, construction management, and military service, George has a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted challenges and intricacies involved in delivering successful projects.

Throughout his career, George has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in all aspects of construction, from initial planning and design to execution and project closeout. As the former Director of Construction of a prolific affordable housing developer, George led the successful completion of numerous ground-up multifamily developments; overseeing all phases of the development and construction process and ensuring projects were delivered on time and within budget.

Prior to his role as a Director, George served as a Construction Manager for a project management consultancy, a Designer for an architecture firm, and an Engineer for the United States Marine Corps. This foundational experience allows George to cultivate diverse insights from different disciplines which enable him to develop innovative solutions and effectively lead cross-functional teams to success.
